Delay in engaging 1st

Hi everyone just joined. Have a 96 gr auto unmodified. When selecting drive there is a few seconds delay before gear engages with a jump, doesent happen all the time. Same happens when dropping down to 3rd. Have had autobox oil and filter changed in Mitsibushi main dealers yesterday, charged 228 pounds for the privilige. Any ideas what else I can do?

wttc. best thing to do in this instance is a ECU reset, as it resets the GB ecu section too on the tiptronic

Thanks for the quick reply. Do I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery?

Yes. For 30 mins. Go make a cup of tea, wait, reconnect battery. TURN OFF all electrical bits (aircon, fans, radio, lights). start up. Idle until the engine is warm and learn`t the idle speed (from cold about 15 mins or until fans cut in) slowly turn on fans, aircon, lights. Take for a spirited drive in tiptronic mode. Hopefully that should sort it
