Thanks peeps for the route suggestions and info. Agree Hardknott would be awesome but tough for lowered cars. So, liking the Hartside Pass idea - nice once simivec - (amazing views and great road, famed route for bikers and it's also actually England's Highest Cafe at nearly 2000 feet up), plus the A6 Kendal to Penrith road also great, combining this into a loop with Lakes gives us this:

2nd half of route is great and don't think we've done it before, 1st half some have done before but awesome and will be new for many. Suggestion is to meet at the The Pooley Bridge Inn for the convoy (Sat 11th Aug at 10:30), and for those camping Fri & Sat Nite (highly recommended) we will be at the fab Parkfoot Holiday Park next to Ullswater once again Parkfoot Ullswater

Right let's start the list - no need to worry about any bookings etc - I will handle the camping group booking. All you need to do is put your name on the list, turn up at Parkfoot on the Friday and pay at reception when you arrive (or just come to the convoy on the Saturday). Simples!
