What is the UK FTO Owners Club all about?

The FTO Owners Club is a community dedicated to all FTO enthusiasts.  It was established in 1998 by Jon Jones, and the first car meet took place at Hatton Craft Centre outside Warwick in September of that same year when 47 cars with their owners converged from all over the country to share their experiences and concerns.  From small beginnings it has grown over the years into a valuable source of information, and a place for both owners and those with a keen interest in the car to congregate.

Our primary aim is to help new owners, and assist with any issues that existing owners have with their cars.  In the early days of FTO imports  it was difficult to find spares and information for your car. Mitsubishi were unhappy about the number of grey imports that were entering the country and did their best to discourage them by refusing to help and allegedly threatening dealers with withdrawal if they so much as serviced the FTO. Ironically  they eventually began importing them themselves through RalliArt / Co-Ord Sport in Dudley, but because of their initial attitude they lost a lot of potential service customers.

The club now offers numerous advantages to its members, including
Joining & renewal packs
Club shop
Discount deals from traders for members
Member discount insurance schemes
Annual Calendar
Group buys
Online Club magazine (coming soon)
Organised track days and rallies
Grease Monkey “How to do” section

We very much hope that you will take advantage of what we have to offer and join our community.
A membership application form and further information can be found in the Club Information drop down menu above
